Royal Jelly
Royal Jelly 10gr
What is Royal Jelly?
Royal jelly is a substance with a slightly creamy texture produced by worker bees from glands located in their heads. Using this substance, they feed all larvae for three days. Then, the workers select which larva will become a queen and continue to feed it exclusively with royal jelly, while the other larvae are subsequently fed with a mixture of royal jelly, pollen, and honey.
It is truly remarkable that this difference in diet alone determines whether the larva becomes a queen or a worker, which means:
-
The queen develops into a perfect bee in 16 days, while the worker takes 21 days
-
The queen’s reproductive system matures and she can lay up to 3,000 fertilized eggs per day, whereas the worker cannot fertilize eggs
-
The queen is one and a half times longer than the worker
-
The queen lives for 5 years, while the worker lives about 50 days
What is the composition of Royal Jelly?
The composition of royal jelly has been analyzed at 97%, with 3% of its components remaining unknown.
It contains vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B6, B7, B8, B9, B12, and C), minerals (sodium, potassium, iron, calcium, zinc, chromium, manganese, and nickel), 29 different amino acids, fatty acids, sugars, and water.
